I go to their website on my desktop, go to "My Account" and then use the "Register" link.
But then I cannot login from my phone. I tell it to reset my password, set the exact same password again, and after restarting the process on my phone I finally manage to get in.Here is a 12 minute video on how to get set up with the Hornady 4dof app with Seth Swerczek from Hornady:
Rifle, ammo, and environment. Their library includes Berger, Sierra, and most bullets that you might use. If your bullet is not listed, you can use their BC calculator.Click the 4dof tile, then go to favorites, then use the + button. You add rifle and ammo.

It will generate a "standard" ballistic table -- use the grid icon at the bottom right. A tip is to generate this, take a screen shot, then set this as the phone background. To take a screen shot on my Pixel Android, I hold power and volume down until the magic happens. Then to set this as background, I go to photos, select the image, find the 3 dots, select "Use as", then wallpaper.
You can use it on a tablet! You can use 4dof without a cell connection. For my tablets (which never will have cell connectivity) I would have to link up at home using Wifi, then take the tablet into the field.
There is no way to access the favorites I set up with my phone on the web based app, which is truly unfortunate.
