Haskell in 2025 - Real World Haskell

This was published by O'Reilly in 2008. You can buy a paper copy (like I did) or use the following link -- the book is available online! This goes very nicely up through chapter 9. Chapter 10 is notorious and a disaster. I ran into the wall in this chapter (as have others) and have had very mean things to say about the experience. The writers clearly dropped the ball. It is unfortunate that the book has not been revised and fixed. It is now 18 years old, which is a heck of a long time for any book relating to computer science (whatever that might be).

I take it as a challenge to work my way past chapter 10 with decent understanding. Here is a tip to others who may be tackling the same thing -- what the authors seem to be doing is taking a back door approach to motivating an interest in monads.
